About Federal University Oye Ekiti (Fuoye)
The Federal University Oye-Ekiti is a Federal University of Nigeria, poised to take education to the next level not only in sub-saharan Africa but indeed to the rest of the world. Established in 2011, offers students from all backgrounds degrees in Agriculture, Engineering, Social Sciences and Sciences as well as Arts, Law, Management Sciences and Education. The school had their first graduating set in 2015, with maiden convocation in April, 2017.
Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) was one of the nine Federal Universities established by the Federal Government of Nigeria, pursuant to an executive order made by the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan , GCFR. Federal University Oye-Ekiti, whose pioneer Vice Chancellor, was Professor Chinedu Ostadinma Nebo, OON, and the present Vice Chancellor Professor Kayode Soremekun who was appointed by President Buhari in 2016, has two undergraduate campuses at Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti and 9 Faculties with the Faculty of Environmental Studies still in place which will make it 10 faculties.

About Fuoye Postgraduate Studies
FUOYE started her postgraduate school in February 2018, with Professor Bakare Ojo Rasaki as pioneer Dean, who was recently appointed the Hon Commissioner for Art and Culture of Ekiti state. The present Dean is Professor Mojisola Oyarekua , was formerly the Provost College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti .

Recently, a piece entitled: “Again, ASUU alleges corruption, mismanagement, tyranny in FUOYE’, was published in one of the national newspapers. Unfortunately, the write-up in question attacked, without caution, the office and person of the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Soremekun.

Thousands of informed and rational readers, expectant of a balanced article, perhaps, would have consumed the piece. Such readers would be shocked to discover that the said article lacked the requisite perspectives from the other side. Therefore, it is for the sake of such readers and to set the records straight that we are responding to the various indices of misinformation in the said piece.
First, the piece misinformed the public that FUOYE’s local chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities had again cried out against what the writer mischievously alleged as the “impunity and administrative recklessness” of the institution’s management. The wonder here is: Which local body of ASUU was the writer referring to? This is because at the moment, ASUU in FUOYE is in disarray. There are now, in fact, several splinter groups and some of them are so disillusioned that they have decided to cast their lot with the management while some have even decided to form a separate body, distinct from ASUU.

By now you know Fuoye is barely 10 years old and of course... Fuoye is making waves...
Fuoye has 4 campuses
At the main campus at Oye-Ekiti.. 7 faculties are at Oye campus with the course duration of 4 years... Also at the Oye campus there is a school of postgraduate studies.
At Ikole Campus which we can call the mini campus.. There are only Two Faculties, Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Engineering.. With the course duration of 5 years!!
The main campus is the life of the school as 80% of the school are on the main campus... Thats about 20,000 students while at Ikole Campus, there should be about 8,000 students...
Then the other campuses should be around 1k and above.
